Measurements of Secondary Loads Using the Generic Prismatic Planning Hull (GPPH)

Abstract:

The Generic Prismatic Planing Hull, GPPH, a model with a 1:5.4 scale ratio, was tested in 2019 at NSWCCD in calm water and in waves. Motions and secondary loads measurements were collected and reduced to support future comparisons with calculations from numerical tools and design criteria. This technical report documents the effort.
