Abstract:

Acting through the Air force Research Laboratory at Wright Patterson AFB, the JSF Program Office selected a team led by Raytheon Systems company to refine and demonstrate a powerful set of lean practices and tools as part of the JSF Manufacturing Demonstration JMD program. the Raytheon JMD team of Raytheon systems Company RSC, formerly Hughes aircraft Company, Boeing Aerospace BA, formerly McDonnell Douglas Aerospace, Management Support Technology Corporation MST, Computer Sciences Corporation CSC, and Arizona State University ASU developed, refined and demonstrated lean practices and processes and an integrated designcost database and tools that can aid the JSF community in significantly reducing JSF life cycle cost.
