Theater Missile Defense Targets for Interceptor Test and Evaluation,

A well defined, planned, and executed Test and Evaluation TE program is critical to the successful acquisition of Theater Missile Defense TMD interceptor and sensor programs. One of the items associated with a credible TE environment, which is continuously being assessed for realism or fidelity, is the target being used to evaluate the interceptor, sensor, and integrated experiment performance. This paper provides a brief backdrop to the description of TMD targets by defining the Ballistic Missile Defense Organization BMDO Consolidated Targets Program CTP and by organizing targets into threat categories.
