Neutron Diffraction Characterization of Tungsten-Nickel-Iron Alloys.
Abstract:
Neutron diffraction and small-angle scattering have been employed to elucidate the effect of strain aging on macroscopic properties of tungsten-nickel-iron W-.07Ni-.03Fe alloys. The neutron measurements indicate that strain aging causes reduction and redistribution of residual stresses induced by swaging, accompanied by voidprecipitate evolution.
