Software Reliability Estimation under Conditions of Incomplete Information.
Abstract:
This report describes a computer program for the estimation of the reliability of large software packages. A model is developed which incorporates additional features found in realistic testing environments. The model is analyzed for deterministic data. Performance on simulated random test data is presented. The algorithm estimates the parameters of the model from software error data, and computes therefrom running estimates of the mean-time-to-failure and the number of software errors remaining. Author
