FLAME - A Slow-Flow Combustion Model,
Abstract:
We have developed a two-dimensional, time-dependent reactive flow model for studying the various aspects of combustion, including ignition, flame spread and plume formation. The basic model is a self-consistent slow-flow hydrodynamic algorithm with chemical reactions. Also included are the basic transport processes of molecular diffusion and thermal conductivity. The model is implemented so that other physical mechanisms, such as different chemical reaction schemes, turbulence models, heterogeneous phenomena, etc., can be included on a modular basis. Author
