U.S. Marine Corps Officer Procurement for the 70's, Problems and Solutions
Abstract:
The study identifies U.S. Marine Corps officer accession problems related to the all-volunteer service. The study covers procurement and accession problems specifically related to the four major accession programs United States Naval Academy, Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps, Platoon Leaders Class, and Officer Candidate Class. These programs represent 85-88 of the projected accession requirements for the 1970s. Data were gathered using a literature search and personal interviews with Marine Corps procurement personnel.
