Abstract:

This presentation describes the different type of DoD issuances and then identifies and summarizes the DMSMS issuances that fall into each issuance category. The summary for DMSMS guidance (Standards-Related Document (SD) 22) is more extensive than the information provided on DMSMS policy documents (an instruction and a manual). The purpose of this presentation is to inform an international audience (French obsolescence institute) of the thoroughness of the SD-22 and encourage listeners to delve into the SD-22 contents for themselves.
