Abstract:

The technical objectives of this project are listed below: Identify replacements for HFC-134a. Identify three best non-flammable blends to replace HFC-134a. Test HFC-134a environmental control unit (ECU) charged with three blends o Extrapolate laboratory results to a 'fully optimized' ECU by detailed ECU simulations. Simulate ECU operating with carbon dioxide (CO2).
