Single- shot Ultra-Short Pulse Holographic Imaging of Dense Fuel Sprays

Abstract:

This report describes a project completed by UC-Irvine and Colorado School of Mines to developand optimize Ultra-Short Pulse Off-Axis digital holography for imaging the core structure behinddense sprays. The proof-of-concept for the technique had been successfully demonstrated in priorwork, and showed that it can produce 3D images of a realistic fuel spray from a hologram createdby a single 100 fs pulse.
