In September of 2020, the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Intelligence and Security issued a Task Order to UMDs Applied Research Laboratory for Intelligence and Security to undertake different tasks aimed at making advances in the USGs capability to address what is commonly known as Insider Threat.
