Abstract:

The ambiguity of warfare has always been a factor in conflict but the complexities of the operating environment of the present and the future will further compound the difficulty of warfare and its speed. Personnel must be able to make decisions in complicated combat environments to effectively execute missions to achieve tactical, operational, and strategic goals. Air Force training requires updating to include naturalistic decision making using the Recognition Primed Decision Making model as well as updating how members accomplish training to meet the needs of the future.
