XB-70A Test Report Flight 2-5 and 2-6
Abstract:
Flight 2-5 was conducted on 17 Sep 1965. Mr Al White, North American Aviation, Inc (NAA), was the pilot and Lt Colonel Fitzhugh Fulton, Air Force Flight Test Center (AFFTC) was the copilot for this flight. The pilots launched the air vehicle from Edwards AFB runway 04 at 1158 PDT and landed on runway 04 at 1353 PDT, for a total flight time-of one hour and fifty-five minutes. The maximum speed and altitude during this flight were Mach l. 83 and 50,500 feet respectively. 'l'ake-off weight was 488,000 pounds.
