Abstract:

Sexual assault (SA) within the military is a major public health problem, impacting over 25,000 Service members. SA can have serious consequences for the victims and can negatively affect Service members overall well-being. The number one factor that increases a Servicemembers risk for SA is having experienced sexual harassment (SH). No prevention program that utilizes behavior change theories, or other proven strategies, has been developed for the military. The goal of this 3-year study is to develop and test the usability of an innovative online SH and SA prevention program, named Code of Respect (X-CoRe).
