Sensitivity Analysis for a Time-Dependent Physiological Model of Superficial Thermal Burns
Abstract:
Methods of sensitivity analysis were applied to the reduced time-dependent physiological model describing the local inflammatory response and early fibroblast activity triggered by a first-degree thermal burn. Results of these methods will be used to advance the parameter estimation process as well as identify potential avenues for experiments to support model development. This model will serve as a foundation for building physiologically driven models developed by DTRA to predict casualty distributions after a nuclear detonation event.
