Abstract:

Provides an unclassified, public release overview of the accomplishments in operational test and evaluation of the Air Force Operational Test and Evaluation Center (AFOTEC) headquartered at Kirtland Air Force Base (AFB), New Mexico, its AFOTEC Experimentation Directorate, and those of its detached operational test organizations, including Detachment 2 for operational test and evaluation weapons and systems at Eglin AFB, Fla, Detachment 3 at Hill AFB, Utah, which conducted operational test and evaluation of the Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) upgrades and of the ICBM replacement the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent, Detachment 4 for space article and space vehicle test operational test and evaluation at Peterson AFB, Colo., (moved to the Space Force in late CY2020), Detachment 5 at Edwards AFB, Calif., conducting operational test and evaluation of legacy bomber and fighter test programs, as well as new programs such as the KC-46A, T-7A, and MH-139A and the HH-60W, and Detachment 6 at Nellis AFB, Nev., partnered with the F-35 United States Operational Test Team (UOTT) and conducting F-35 Block 4 Continuous Capability Development and Delivery (C2D2), as well as operational test and evaluation of the F-16EX and F-15 Eagle Passive and Active Warning and Survivability System (EPAWSS).
