Abstract:

The COVID-19 pandemic has negatively impacted military readiness, causing the delay of military operations, quarantine of military personnel, and closure of military facilities. Rapid, early detection of SARS-CoV-2 can prevent the outbreaks2 by informing infected personnel on the need to quarantine. RT-PCR provides a reliable, sensitive, and rapid method for detecting SARS-CoV2 in clinical upper respiratory samples.
