Adultery in the Military

Abstract:

As a member of the United States Army, I have come across many Soldiers that are married. Marriage is the final commitment between two people and identifies that they will be true and faithful to each other. The Army recognizes this commitment and believes that Soldiers should honor their commitment and be faithful to their spouse. However, just as in civilian life, some married Soldiers commit adultery. This is inconsistent with Army ethics and regulations. It is up to leaders at all levels to hold those who commit adultery accountable.
