Abstract:

CAE Inc. was contracted (Solicitation No.W7707-135643/B) by Defence Research and Development Canada (DRDC) to conduct a literature survey regarding the use of OpenSIM or similar Virtual World (vWorld) technologies to develop and review system designs such as compartment layouts and team processes on naval platforms, particularly when stakeholders from the Department of National Defence/Canadian Armed Forces (DND/CAF) are distributed.
