Abstract:

The purpose of Subtask PATROL 1 is to develop a program of instruction in land navigation under day and night visibility conditions which stresses acquisition of a degree of skill appropriate to the Basic Individual Combat Training level. This guide presents, in detail, a program of instruction in elementary land navigation. It includes descriptions of the instruction, training aids, and physical facilities required for training. Also included are a subject schedule and detailed lesson plans for the conduct of training.
