Development of a Ku-Band Crossed-Field Amplifier

Abstract:

The second interim engineering report on a Ku-band crossed-field amplifier development program is presented. Two tubes were constructed and tested. A detailed account of the results obtained from these two tubes is presented. The development of mechanical techniques as they apply to the fabrication of the Ku-band amplifier and design changes which were indicated by the data of these two tubes are also included.
