Abstract:

A review of the literature on the extraction of rubidium and cesium from minerals and ores is presented. Topics included are: (1) extraction of Rb and Cs from lepidolites; (2) extraction of Cs from pollucite; (3) extraction of Rb from carnallite; (4) processing other types of raw materials; (5) production of metallic Rb and Cs; and (6) electrochemistry of Rb and Cs.
