Bayesian Methods: An Introduction for Physical Oceanographers,

reportActive / Technical Report | Accession Number: ADP008737 | Need Help?

Abstract:

The Bayesian approach to statistics is a conceptually simple method of treating uncertainty. It involves modeling uncertainty with probability, and conditioning on such data as become available. Because of its flexibility, there are many styles of application. Using the same examples as George Casellas paper in this volume, I discuss how this Bayesian method approaches such problems.
