A Digitally Compensated Hybrid Crystal Oscillator,
Abstract:
A thin film hybrid temperature compensated crystal oscillator has been developed which utilizes digital compensation techniques to maintain a stable output frequency with respect to changes in temperature. The digitally compensated crystal oscillator DCXO described has been designed to be compatible with automated manufacturing techniques in large volume production, a program with conventional compensated oscillator designs. A look-up table, where each temperature increment corresponds to a particular compensation value, is maintained in an electrically erasable read only memory EEPROM.
