Fluorocarbon-Metal Composites for Durable Airfield Runway Markings.

reportActive / Technical Report | Accession Number: ADD010719 | Need Help?

Abstract:

A glass-powder-filled fluorocarbon sheet is bonded to aluminum or steel metal panels with an epoxy adhesive and the composite plates are bonded to airfield pavement with other epoxy adhesives. The composite markings provide a highly visible, durable marking airfield runway system that resists adherence of rubber build-up to replace conventional paints, adhesive tapes, plastic buttons, thermoplastic sprays, or other pavement marking materials.
