Holographic Lens Binocular System.

The patent application provides an improved binocular system employing separate multi-element holographic lenses for light correction and off-axis diffraction, for aberrations correction and eyepiece light diffraction for viewing, whereby elements numbers, weight and size are reduced while providing equivalent conventional binocular functions. The invention further contemplates the forming of associated lenses on common plates to facilitate minimum alignment problems under mass production conitions and in the further overlapping of holographic lenses on a single plate to reduce the size of binoculars where larger light input apertures are desired.
