Abstract:

Project 4.2 was requested to provide and assemble a warhead and firing system which would give a yield equivalent to 30 kt of TNT and be detonated at 2000 ft below the oceans surface. This report tells how this was accomplished and brought to a successful conclusion on May 14, 1955, at 1300 PDT.
