Abstract:

A set of four shock mitigating containers for avionics items, developed under contract, was evaluated. The container set was designed to provide 15G shock protection over a temperature range -20 degrees F to 140 degrees F for a wide range of avionics items varying in size from 4X4X5 to 25X21X20.8 inches and in weight from 10 to 91 pounds. The containers will be used in the Air Force logistics system to provide general support to avionics items.
