Chemical Compositions of Production rolled Armor Plate 1941-1945.

This report includes a list of ranges of armor plate compositions used in the manufacture of rolled armor plate from the middle of 1941 to about the middle of 1945. Production rolled armor of all types has been included in the appended tables, namely, homogeneous tank armor, face hardened tank armor, homogeneous aircraft armor, faced hardened aircraft armor, and non-magnetic armor. In the appended tables, Nos. I, II, III, IV, and V there are presented the name of the manufacturer, date the composition was used, steel source, thickness of plate, specification, and range of chemical composition used in each respective year. Also in Table VI, there is included a list of partner contractors who heat treated rolled armor during the period of 1942-1945.
