Abstract:

This is a brief introduction to the formulation of a generalized propulsorturbomachinery description standard and a guide for its usage. This turbomachinery descriptor is a generalization to arbitrary axisymmetric stream surfaces of both the cylindrical-and conical-based descriptions currently in use. Users manuals are given for both the generation of blade surface coordinates from the generalized blade description parameters program PRPGEOM and for the inverse problem of the determination of the blade description parameters from existing blade surface coordinates program PRMEXT.
