Abstract:
The paper presents a preliminary report of a feasibility study of a project to develop a uniform descriptive framework that 1. captures all of the complexity of the modern battlefield 2. is capable of sufficient precision to allow for cross-domain communication that meets the needs of all parties 3. allows for clarification and disambiguation 4. is sufficiently natural and intuitive for rapid mastery by all parties. The framework is based on the adoption of an information-flow view of the battlefield, using situation theory
