Repair of Nerve Cell Membrane Damage by Calcium-Dependent, Membrane-Binding Proteins
Abstract:
To date this project has demonstrated that calcium-dependent, membrane-binding proteins of the annexin and copine classes have the potential to stabilize lipid bilayers. These proteins may therefore be promising agents for promoting the repair of damaged cell membranes in the case of spinal cord injury.
