When thoroughly integrated into joint operations, space assets will prove to be a significant force multiplier and also possess the potential for independent space application. This capability largely depends on understanding the uses of our space forces. Doctrine can provide both principles and a framework for comprehending and integrating space capabilities. This doctrine will be even more important in the future, as potential enemies notice our increasing reliance on space. Joint doctrine must address our use of space while denying it to an enemy.
