Systems Engineering for Military Ground Vehicle Systems

Abstract:

Systems engineering is a key discipline for the development, deployment, and sustainment of military systems. The wide variety of product types and tendency to leverage emerging technologies require that disciplined technical planning and the management processes be used by engineers and program managers in all phases of a products life cycle. This chapter will explore some fundamentals for a variety of topics in military systems engineering and acquisition. Focused on systems engineering, a couple of Army vehicle applications are also presented.
