Present State of CBRN Decontamination Methodologies (Stand van Zaken CBRN- Ontsmettingsmethodieken)
Abstract:
Decontamination is defined as the removal andor neutralization of chemical, biological, radiological andor nuclear CBRN contamination. In this report, the present state of the art of decontamination technologies is discussed, divided into physical, chemical, enzymatic and energetic decontamination. Advantages and disadvantages of the available methods are given, as well as the applicability towards CBRN agents and tox4c industrial chemicals TICs and the commercial status. The report will be yearly updated from 2006-2009 with the latest developments.
