Investigation of Portable Oil Analysis Requirements for Army Application

Abstract:

The objectives of this project were to define critical used oil properties and to investigate and analyze oil analysis methods that could be used at the unit level to provide a gono-go result regarding oil condition and the equipment readiness. Implementation of unit-level analysis could provide a reduction of samples sent to AOAP labs for full analysis thereby reducing costs.
