Selected Service Contracts at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base

We are providing this final report for your information and use. The audit was made at the request of Senator David Pryor to determine whether specific support service contracts at Wright- Patters on Air Force Base included unauthorized personal service tasks, and whether these contracts were used inappropriately to hire recently retired Air Force Logistics Command employees. Management comments on a draft of this report were considered in preparing the final report. The complete text of the comments is in Part IV of this report. DOD Directive 7650.3 requires that audit recommendations be resolved promptly. Therefore, we request that the Air Force provide comments on the unresolved recommendations by October 16, 1992.
