Procurement Activities in Germany
Abstract:
The Army and the Air Force provide contracting support for troops in Europe. The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Europe, which provides contracting support for Army forces throughout Europe, plans to reduce to seven contracting offices and one suboffice in Germany by the end of FY 1993. In FY 1990, the U.S. Army Contracting Command, Europe had nine contracting offices and six suboffices in Germany. The U.S. Air Forces in Europe, which provides contracting support for its geographical area, had five contracting offices and two suboffices in Germany in FY 1990. As of January 1993, the U.S. Air Forces in Europe had six contracting offices in Germany three of which are designated for closure by the end of FY 1993.
