Supersonic COIL Driven by a Jet Singlet Oxygen Generator

Abstract:

This report results from a contract tasking Institute of Physics Academy of Sciences as follows The contractor will complete the chemical oxygen-iodine laser COIL by adding newly fabricated components test the operation of individual parts of the whole COIL system and attempt to optimize the operation of each of them and test the completed device as a laser by determining the output power, the small signal gain, the saturation intensity, the optical extraction efficiency, and the chemical efficiency.
