EXPORT FINANCE: Federal Efforts to Support Working Capital Needs of Small Business.

Abstract:

This report reviews current government programs that provide export working capital for small and medium sized enterprises. GAO describes federal and state approaches for export working capital, assesses federal efforts to harmonize export working capital programs, discusses issues associated with the increasing number of cooperative agreements, and examines potential of transferring SBAs export working capital program to Eximbank.
