Abstract:

This Directive reissues DoD Directive 5015.2, March 22, 1991, establishing responsibility for the DoD Records Management Program, in accordance with reference title 36, Code of Federal Regulations, Chapter XII, National Archives and Records Administration, Subchapter B, Records Management, under the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Command, Control, Communications and Intelligence ASDC3I updates policy and responsibilities for life cycle management creation, maintenance and use, and disposition of information as records in all media, including electronic and authorizes the publicaing and procedural guidance on the management of records in the Department of Defense, consistent with title 36 Code of Federal Regulations, Chapter XII, Subchapter B, DoD 5025.1-M, and Chapters 29, 31, 33, and 35 oftitle 44, United States Code.
