Test and Reengineering Tool Evaluation Project, Software Test Technologies Report, August 1994. Test and Reengineering Tool Evaluation Project.
Abstract:
This report was written to help software development and support activities SDSA1 identify, evaluate, and adopt effective software testing practices and technologies. There are several types of software testing technologies that can potentially improve an organizations ability to test software to find defects and to determine if the software satisfies its requirements. Section 1 introduces the Software Technology Support Center ST SC and its mission. Section 2 describes some software testing terms and a classification of tools taxonomy. Section 3 provides additional inf6rmation about static analysis technologies. Section 4 presents the STSCs method for evaluating and selecting software test tools. Section 5 discusses improving the testing process using the Software Engineering Institutes SEl Capability Maturity Model CMM. KAR
