This paper presents a subjective view toward new directions and some examples for changing microwave research. The paper is written primarily from the point of view of how the electromagnetic research must change and what kind of impact such a change can give rise to stimulation for the device and circuit research for microwave technology. it is emphasized that interdisciplinary treatment of electromagnetic research is vital for be future of microwave technology.
