Abstract:

Application of ultrasound can greatly enhance physical and chemical processes. Through the mechanism of cavitation, tremendous amounts of energy are released which can enhance chemical reaction rates, for example. This report reviews several experimental studies of sonochemistry applications with dual-use technology implications.
