Communication Education: The Systems Approach

Abstract:

Thesis The United States Marine Corps Operational Communication Chief requires comprehensive knowledge of the integration of tactical communications systems, but the current education system fails to prepare Marines for this critical position. The Marine Corps enlisted communication training pipeline needs to continue transitioning to the Systems Approach to Training SAT to adequately prepare communicators for todays complex, systems- oriented battlefield. This paper addresses quality, funding and joint curriculum issues.
