Abstract:

This Manual provides reasonable and standardized AE safety principles, methods, practices, requirements, and informations for contractual work or services performed in connection with contracts involving AE. Understanding and compliance with the applicable requirements of this Manual and additional safety requirements of the contract, if any, should minimize the potential for mishaps that could interrupt DoD operations or delay production delivery dates, adversely impact upon DoD production capabilities, damage or destroy DoD materialequipment, cause injury to DoD personnel, or endanger the general public. Therefore, adherence to the Manuals standards and principles will support DoD mission accomplishment, provide a safe environment for contract work and enhance cooperation and assistance from DoD personnel.
