Abstract:

This Handbook provides information to Senior Executive Service SES members and their supervisors concerning the SES pay structure, the statutory and regulatory requirements, and the Office of the Secretary of Defenses policy on setting and adjusting SES pay levels. This Chapter 3 now permits pay level adjustments within the succeeding twelve months after a transfer, provided the transfer did not include a pay level adjustment, and it also liberalizes the guidance for setting pay upon initial appointment to the SES.
