Applications Development on the Intel iWarp System
Abstract:
This report discusses the development of parallel programming tools, mathematical tools, and signal and image processing applications on the Intel IWarp system. The report begins with a discussion on parallel processing for signal and image processing. Some issues related to parallel programming on the iWarp system are discussed. The report presents algorithms and implementations of parallel programming tools on the iWarp system. The report discusses mapping applications to the iWarp system using these programming tools. The applications discussed in this report include two-dimensional fast Fourier transform 2-D FFT, two-dimensional convolution, a few matrix computation algorithms, two algorithms, and a neural network algorithm. Performance results for the 2-D FFT, matrix factorization , a Unear triangular system algorithm, and a multispectral weighted differencing algorithm are presented and analyzed.
