The LIC Planners's Guide (LPG)

Abstract:

The purpose of the LIC Planners guide LPG is to assist planners at all levels in identifying the critical factors that must be considered in order to successfully accomplish all operations within the operational categories of low intensity conflict. The LPG is based on the results of the LIC planning considerations study LPCS which was initiated to identify critical factors that may play a role in any of the four LIC categories. The LPG contains definitions of both LIC operational categories LOC and LIC functional areas LFA as well as a matrix which allows the reader to quickly cross-check which LFA and tasks are associated with LIC operations.
