BASEOPS Default Profiles for Transient Military Aircraft
Abstract:
This report describes default Power SettingAirspeedAltitude vs. Distance Profiles for transient Military Aircraft takeoff and landings. The data catalogued here are also accessible directly from the USAF BASEOPS program via the Load command. BASEOPS is a computerized operations input program for Airbase Noise analyses done under the Air Force Air Installation Compatible Use Zone AICUZ program. These profiles were adapted from the database previously developed for use at the Air Force Engineering Services Center AFESC. Modifications were made to accommodate improved technical information on the flight performance and nominal thrust management for several military aircraft types. Due to the variability in operational parameters at different airbases for the same type aircraft, these data serve primarily as a guideline for input of transient aircraft profiles, which are not usually known to the airbase noise planner. Keywords Flight paths, Airspeed, NoiseSound, Military aircraft.
